Arrest warrant issued for Donegal jockey over unfinished community service
Gardaí searched the home of Oran Brown, a jockey, at Collate, Lifford, Co Donegal, on 25 June 2020 and seized cannabis and cocaine. Brown was convicted of possessing cannabis for supply and of unlawful possession of cocaine, and in 2023 he was ordered to complete 240 hours of community service, with a three-and-a-half-year prison term suspended. The Probation Service told Letterkenny Circuit Court that he had completed none of those hours and that its efforts to contact him had failed, and his barrister said he is in hiding over a drug debt. Judge John Aylmer was satisfied Brown knew of the order and issued an arrest warrant, as reported on 20 May 2025.
