Amtivo sues rival West Assured over 'wholesale departure' of employees in High Court

Amtivo (Ireland) Ltd and its parent Amtivo Group Ltd brought a High Court action in Dublin on 8 July 2026 against rival West Assured Solutions Ltd, based in Loughrea, Co Galway, and eight former employees and contractors, alleging breach of contract and misuse of confidential information following what it called a 'wholesale departure' of staff. West Assured was founded in September 2024 by three former Amtivo employees, and the claims allege that 231 or 82 per cent of client transfers away from Amtivo between April 2025 and June 2026 went to the new firm. Judge Brian Cregan granted interim injunctions against Martin Heduvan, of Ballynacargy, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, who left Amtivo on 9 January 2026, restraining him from disclosing or using Amtivo's confidential information to solicit prospective clients. The case returns the following Friday for consideration of a further non-competition order, and the defendants deny the claims.
