    Kirk Loco, a 44-year-old social media commentator from Rathnew, County Wicklow, is accused of publishing a threatening or grossly offensive communication about a resident of an IPAS centre in a social media post made on 21 June 2024. He faces charges under Section 4(1) and 4(3) of the Harassment, Harmful Communications and Related Offences Act 2020 for distributing the communication with intent to cause harm. As of 23 October 2026, Loco is on trial and has denied the charge.
